NEXT SHOW: KERRANG! TOUR
02-04-2010
Manchester Academy 1
All Time Low
The Blackout
Young Guns
My Passion
I’m excited! So so so excited! My 3 favorite bands and another really great one all in the same venue and they’re not even the same genre. Psyched! I’ve met everyone before and eventhough some are a little hostile on some days I’m hoping they’re all really nice on this day....

Escape The Fate
It’s twelve noon at the popular venue and kids are already beginning to form a line outside the front doors. Others stood in a small crowd at the doors of the tour buses. Duvets and boxes of food litter the front of the line. Why? Well those that congregated at the front of the line had managed to secure a place by...

NEXT SHOW: HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD
12-6-2009
Manchester Academy 1
Headliner: Hollywood Undead
Support from: Escape The Fate
Expectations: Although I’ve seen these bands before and they haven’t disappointed me then I’m not expecting an amazing show. When I met J3T from Hollywood Undead he seemed a little bugged to be hanging with fans and I feel as time has progressed a few certain members from Escape The...

Bury Tomorrow
Marionettes
As if it wasn’t enough that they had a gorgeous merch guy who’s a clone for Alex Gaskarth (Dave Chapman, hello they’re twins!) they were absolutely astonishing live. My expectations were high and they exceeded them. The first support band were really good despite the fact that they were struggling to...

Bury Tomorrow
Marionettes
I’m looking forward to it! It’s a little intimate gig, I like this venue, from what I’ve heard they’re good live. What reason is there for me to not look forward to it? Although because of all I’ve heard I suppose I HAVE to have high expectations. I love Bury Tomorrow aswell, the only reason...

Bamboo Shoots
All-in-all it was an alright night. Bamboo shoots did an okay job of opening up, not many people were moving much but they were accepting of them which is good for a support band unlike others I’ve seen who’ve literally been booed off the stage before. During most of their set we were actually stood at the back of the...

NEXT SHOW: 3OH!3
Green Day will be a tough gig to beat, what with so many tricks up their sleeves and with the fact that the show was halloween. So I’m goin g to lower my expectations with secret hopes that they’ll blow me away. However, this is 3OH!3. They’re more my kind of music than Green Day. I dunno about anyone else’s music taste but I’m turning more to the synth/guitar side...

Foxboro Hotubs
Prima Donna
Expectations exceeded! The gig was amazing. The support band, Prima Donna, weren’t really my thing but they were entertaining and put on a good show. Straight after the Foxboro Hottubs took to the stage to play a coule of songs, that too was awesome.
Then Green Day came on. A bit of me died when I saw Billy Joe was...

NEXT SHOW: Green Day
So it’s the first time they’ve toured (England) in over five years and the shows on halloween. Seeing as last halloween I was watching four bands parade around stage in costume whilst putting on a good show this years better be good. However this is Green Day so it shouldn’t be hard at all. They’re world class and they only have one support band. Apparently their set...

The Audition
The Friday Night Boys
Quite possibly the best gig I have ever attended in my entire life. In fact, make that a definite. Everything fitted perfectly, the guys were more than welcoming and nothing stopped the flow of the show.
Before the show we hung around the back in time to meet The Audition and Andrew from The Friday Night Boys....
