All Time Low

The Audition

The Friday Night Boys

Quite possibly the best gig I have ever attended in my entire life. In fact, make that a definite. Everything fitted perfectly, the guys were more than welcoming and nothing stopped the flow of the show.

Before the show we hung around the back in time to meet The Audition and Andrew from The Friday Night Boys. Every last one of them were so welcoming and seemed genuinly nice guys. We got pictures and because everyone was crowding Danny we decided to talk to Andrew for a bit. He couldn’t pronounce Suki’s name so she made him remember it by the (key) necklace he was wearing.

Then it was time for the meet n’ greet. Yeah it started kind of late so we were waiting for a while but then after giving our named Matt Flyzik came and got us. He spoke to us for a little bit and ran over what was going to happen before we all took seats and waited. As soon as we sat down the guys came out (bar Zack who’d flown back to the US for a wedding) and they were the nicest people ever. They were cracking jokes with us, taking pictures, signing things (and I had a nice discussion with Jack about the weather outside).

I can honestly say I have never met a band so nice before, whether it was because we were paying more than the guys outside I dunno but they were complete gents.

After this the band had to go because the doors were opening. We all went into the room a few minutes early and took our places at the barrier and slid our stuff underneath. Both supports got the crowd going and Alex even came onstage to perform Molly Makeout.

When All Time Low came on I swear I lost about 3 ribs. Everybody was so excited and they opened up with Lost in Stereo which was awesome because I got it filmed and I’m gonna be using some of the footage for the music video we’re making for it. Jack announced that the band were gonna be headlining Kerrang! Tour 2010 to which everyone cheered (Already knew, already bought my ticket). Every single song they played was amazing and they really got involved with the crowd. Jack and Alex kept making comments that had us all laughing and they were note perfect in everything they did.

At the end of Remembering Sunday Alex threw his pick into the crowd and I caught it! I got footage of Alex laughing and winking at my camera which is gonna come in handy in future projects and all-in-all I’ve never had a night as good as that. I highly recommend them to anyone who’s planning on seeing them. They won’t disappoint you. :)
